Here, scanned, are some of the papers we were sent in reply to our requests under the Freedom of Information Act. In the interests of space, I’ve left out some of the background papers.
So here we have, all as PDFs:
- governors17sep1.pdf: the minutes of the governors meeting on the 17 September that decided, without consultation, to suspend, that is to say, close the sixth form
- financepaper1.pdf: a paper giving projections of the financial effects of the closure (note that, as the principal and chair of the governors acknowledged when we met them, takes no account of the wider demographic picture)
- issuespaper1.pdf: an extremely brief and perfunctory issues paper, the only options the governors were presented with at their 17 September meeting
- governors17july1.pdf: an extract from the minutes of the governors meeting of 16 July
Draw your own conclusions. I’m astonished that, contrary to the impression the principal and chair of governors seek to leave of a mature, strategic decision taken after strenuous efforts to expand, the issue was only discussed twice by the governors in meetings two months apart.

i am a parent who is responsible for exposing golds in the local papers in sidcup. This is her third headship and as with this one she ruined the education of the pupils in her care. Are you aware of the events of her first headship at the bradbourne school sevenoaks. I brought her appaling actions to the attention of the PA to the then secretary of state for education. I gave documents that proved golds lied in a press article, they gave me assurances that this would not be tolerated. They held out until my children had left Cleeve Park then said they could do nothing as they were no longer pupils at the school.I have spoken to an ex pupil from bradbourne and have read what is going on now, her actions are identicle, how can the education authority defend this person. At Cleeve the teachers unions were on the brink of a strike what will it take to remove this woman, she is not fit to be a school cleaner.Individual voices are ineffective, we need to get together and make them listen. This needs to be a national story. This woman destroys morale with staff and rejects any positive reinforcements to the education of pupils, her ethos is based on fear and negativity.
